Your privacy matters to us. That’s not filler — it’s just true. This page explains what information we collect when you work with Drywall Edmonton, LTD, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve kept it as plain as possible because nobody should need a lawyer to understand a drywall contractor’s privacy policy.
The short version: we collect what we need to do the work, we use it to do the work, and we don’t sell it. Ever.
When you reach out for a quote or book a project, we collect the basics — your name, phone number, email, service address, and billing information. That’s necessary to schedule work, send estimates, process payment, and actually show up at the right house. We also collect project-specific details during site visits: measurements, site conditions, photos of the work area, notes about what needs to be done. Without that, we can’t quote or complete anything accurately.
When you’re on the website, standard analytics tools collect things like which pages you visited, how long you were there, what kind of device you used, and where you came from. We use that data to understand whether the site is actually useful or needs work. Not to profile you — just to know if the page about ceiling texture is confusing or if the contact form is broken.
We may also infer your general location from your IP address — city or region, not your precise GPS coordinates. And if you send us a message, leave a review, or share photos, we keep that too.
Most of it comes directly from you — through the website contact form, a phone call, a text, or an email. Some of it comes from the on-site estimate process. And some of it, the analytics side, comes through tools like Google Analytics and Google Ads running in the background while you browse.
If you submitted an inquiry through a directory or lead service that connected you to us, that’s another source. But you asked to be contacted when you did that, so it’s not a surprise.
To give you a quote, schedule the project, show up, do the work, and handle payment — that’s the core of it. We also use your information to coordinate materials and timelines with suppliers or subcontractors when needed, to send invoices and receipts, and to manage warranty support after the job is done.
On the website side, we use analytics data to improve how things work and to make sure our advertising is reaching people who actually need drywall services in Edmonton, AB — not random people who have no use for it.
And like any business, we keep records for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Alberta has requirements. We follow them.
We don’t sell your personal data. We don’t share it for advertising purposes beyond what’s needed to run our own campaigns.
We do share limited information with service providers — the payment processor, the scheduling software, the email platform, whoever helps us actually operate day-to-day. And sometimes a supplier or subcontractor needs your project address to deliver materials or show up for a specific part of the job. That’s operational, not commercial.
If we’re ever legally required to share information — a court order, a fraud investigation, something like that — we comply with the law. And if the business were ever sold or transferred, your data would stay protected under this policy or an equivalent one.
We use cookies to keep the website functional, remember preferences, and measure how pages perform. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. If you want to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google provides a browser add-on that handles that.
More detail on cookies is in our Cookie Policy if you want to get into it.
As long as we need it — for active projects, warranty coverage, legal and tax obligations. Once your data isn’t needed anymore, it gets deleted or de-identified. We’re not sitting on a database full of old project files for no reason.
We use reasonable safeguards — administrative, technical, physical — to protect your information. But no system is completely bulletproof, and it wouldn’t be honest to claim otherwise. What we can say is that we take it seriously and don’t treat your data carelessly.
If you’re in Alberta or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws, you can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate, request deletion of your data, or ask for a portable copy of information you’ve provided to us.
To make any of those requests, just contact us directly. We’ll verify your identity and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Our services aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has submitted information to us somehow, contact us and we’ll delete it.
We don’t currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. That’s worth being upfront about.
This policy may be updated occasionally when our practices change or laws require it. The effective date at the top always shows the most recent version.
