Look, cookies aren’t complicated. They’re small text files that get stored on your device when you visit a website — your phone, your laptop, whatever you’re using right now. They help the site remember basic things, load properly, and not make you start from scratch every single time you come back.
We’re a drywall company. We’re not building a data empire here. We use cookies because the website needs them to function, and because understanding how people use the site helps us make it better over time. That’s genuinely the whole story.
Some cookies are just non-negotiable. Without them, the site doesn’t work — forms don’t submit, pages don’t load right, basic navigation falls apart. Those run in the background and aren’t really optional, because the alternative is a broken website, which helps nobody.
Then there are analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people actually visit, how long they stick around, and where things might be confusing or slow. It’s anonymous traffic data, not a profile on you personally. But it tells us whether the service pages are working or whether something needs to be fixed.
Functional cookies are the ones that remember your preferences so you’re not re-entering the same information every visit. Small thing, but it makes the experience less annoying.
And advertising cookies — we use Google Ads, and those cookies help measure whether an ad actually led someone to the site, and whether the ads being shown are relevant to what someone’s actually looking for. So instead of seeing a random ad for something completely unrelated, you might see something about drywall repair in Edmonton. Which, if you ended up here, probably makes more sense anyway.
You’re in control of this. Always have been.
When you first visit the site, you’ll likely see a banner where you can accept or adjust your preferences. You can also go into your browser settings directly — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, they all let you manage or delete cookies whenever you want. If you specifically want to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, there’s a browser add-on Google offers that does exactly that.
One thing worth knowing: if you turn off certain cookies, some features might behave differently. The site will still work. It just might not remember your preferences or function quite as smoothly in places.
We don’t sell your personal information. Not something we’ve ever done, not something we’re interested in doing.
Some cookie data does get shared with third-party providers — Google Analytics, Google Ads — but that’s specifically to help us understand site traffic and measure whether our advertising is actually reaching the right people. It’s performance data, not personal profiles. If you want the full picture of how we handle your information, the Privacy Policy covers that in more detail.
This policy might get updated if something changes — new tools, new legal requirements, whatever comes up. The effective date at the top of the page will always show when it was last revised, so you can check back if you’re curious.
