Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 7, 2026 Company: Drywall Edmonton, LTD, Edmonton, AB

What These Terms Cover

This page explains how things work when you hire Drywall Edmonton, LTD — for drywall installation, ceiling texture, repairs, taping, finishing, whatever the project is. It also covers how our website operates. Using the site or booking a service with us means you’re agreeing to these terms, so it’s worth a few minutes to read through.

We’ve tried to write this like a real conversation, not a legal document designed to confuse people. Because honestly, that’s how we think a contractor should operate.

Estimates and Pricing

Written estimates are valid for 30 days. That’s standard.

What’s not always standard in this industry is what happens when something unexpected shows up mid-project — water damage behind a wall, a structural issue that wasn’t visible from the surface, a previous repair that was done poorly and needs to be addressed before we can finish ours. It happens. Edmonton homes, especially older ones, have history.

If we find something that changes the scope or cost, we stop and explain it to you before we do anything else. You approve it or you don’t. You’ll never open an invoice and see charges you didn’t agree to. That’s not how we work.

Scheduling and Access

Once your estimate is approved and any required deposit is in, we’ll get your project on the schedule.

To keep things moving, we need clear access to the work area, working electrical power and lighting in the space, and furniture or personal items moved away from the zone — unless we’ve made other arrangements. We’re not asking for anything unreasonable. Drywall work involves ladders, tools, and materials that need room to operate safely.

If site conditions or Alberta weather make it genuinely unsafe or impractical to work, we’ll reschedule. We’d rather push a day than deliver work that suffered because conditions weren’t right.

Materials and Products

We use premium-grade materials suited to Alberta’s climate and local building standards. Not the cheapest option on the shelf — the right option for the job.

Custom ceiling textures and specialty finishes are applied specifically for your project. Minor natural variations in texture or appearance are normal. They’re not defects. Anyone who’s worked with drywall compound long enough knows that — it’s a hand-applied material, not a machine-stamped one.

Project Completion

When the work is done, we walk through it with you. Not a quick handshake at the door — an actual walkthrough where you can look at everything and ask questions. We’ll tell you about drying times, when the surface is ready for paint, and how to maintain the finish going forward.

You should be able to use the space normally shortly after completion. We’ll be specific about timing based on what was done.

Warranty Coverage

For residential projects, we stand behind our workmanship. If something fails under normal use because of how we did the work, we’ll come back and fix it.

What the warranty doesn’t cover: pre-existing structural or moisture issues, damage from impact or misuse, work that someone else modified after we finished, lack of proper maintenance, or events like flooding, fire, or severe weather. That’s a reasonable list. We’re warranting our labor and materials — not every possible thing that could happen to a wall over the next decade.

Commercial warranty terms are outlined in the individual project agreement.

Payments

A deposit may be required to hold your spot on the schedule. Final payment is due when the work is substantially complete.

Late payments can result in additional fees under Alberta law. And if a balance goes unpaid, we reserve the right to pursue collection through appropriate legal channels. We’d rather not go there — and in 25 years, it rarely comes to that — but it’s in here because it needs to be.

Photos and Marketing

We document completed projects with photos for our own records, training, and occasionally for marketing. No personal information, no identifying details about your home or family.

If you’d rather your project not appear in any of our materials, just let us know in writing before work begins. Simple as that.

Safety on Site

Keep children and pets away from active work areas. Keep vehicles clear of the zone when we’re moving materials or equipment. Drywall and ceiling work involves tools, ladders, compounds, and conditions that require space and trained handling. It’s not being precious about it — it’s just practical.

Cancellations and Delays

If you need to cancel, 72 hours’ notice is what we ask for. Short-notice cancellations may result in charges for materials ordered, scheduling time blocked off, or prep work already done.

Delays on our end — weather, supply issues, something unforeseen on site — we’ll tell you about immediately. You’ll always know what’s happening with your project and why. Silence from a contractor is never a good sign, and it’s not something we practice.

Using Our Website

The website is informational. Don’t attempt to access systems you’re not supposed to, disrupt functionality, or misuse the site. Links to third-party sites are there for convenience — we’re not responsible for what those sites do with your information.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the services we provided and the warranties outlined here. We’re not on the hook for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages beyond our control. That’s standard — and fair.

Indemnification

If a problem arises from misuse of our services, failure to follow care instructions, or violation of these terms on your end, you agree to hold Drywall Edmonton, LTD harmless from any resulting claims or damages.

Force Majeure

Severe weather, supply chain issues, labor shortages, emergencies — if something genuinely outside our control affects the project, we’re not liable for the delay. We’ll still communicate clearly and get things back on track as quickly as possible.

Disputes

These terms are governed by Alberta law. If something goes wrong, we’ll try to resolve it directly first — which is how most issues get solved, in our experience. If that doesn’t work, either party can pursue resolution through appropriate provincial legal channels or arbitration.

Updates to These Terms

We may update this page as our services evolve or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top always reflects the most recent version.
